The Transfer
Our representative is waiting for you at the airport. He will transfer you to your hotel. In the evening we have a ‘meet & greet’ in a nice restaurant where you will be able to meet your fellow travelers.

Along the road you’ll see Herero women with their characteristic wide skirts and impressive headgear. Your overnight stop is close to the border.
On the cheetah farm you’ll join with the evening feeding. Interacting with these magnificent animals is an experience you’ll never forget!
Next morning, after breakfast, you can go for a walk with a Bushman (Khoisan).

At the end of this long riding day you reach Maun. After seeing nothing but desert today it is hard to imagine that you are actually on the edge of one Africa’s largest river deltas!

An open air safari vehicle will take you to the tented camp deep in the delta. Large tents, mattresses and sleeping bags will be provided. This special place will be your home for the next two nights.

To finish it all off you also go on a night drive to observe the animals which are only active after dark. Staying here is so special that you’ll remember your visit to the Okavango Delta for the rest of your life!

You stay two nights in Kasane, just outside Chobe national park.
After arrival we go for a game cruise on the Chobe River. The boat will take you between dozens of elephants on the shores and hundreds of hippos in the water. This is a boat ride you definitely don’t want to miss out on!

You’ll have ample time to admire this natural wonder. Walk along the edge of the gorge into which the waterfalls drop, take a flight high above the falls and lunch in cosy Victory Falls.
At the end of a long and exciting day you return to your lodge in Kasane, Botswana.

From the sundeck at the edge of the Okavango River you will be enthralled by the river turning orange from the light of the setting sun.

You will sleep near Grootfontein, which is a typical African town which looks like a busy city compared to the emptiness of the last week.

At the end of the day you will arrive at our cosy guesthouse outside Etosha National Park.

You’ll also see many giraffes, kudus, gazelles and other antelopes. You’re also at risk to encounter predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, jackals and hyenas. Most animals are active in the morning and at the end of the day. The warmest time of the day is for resting, an excellent example which we will follow.

If you fly via Cape Town, you might want to make a stopover on the way back and spend some additional time in Cape Town.
Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, the famous Wineland, Robben Island or shark cage diving – Cape Town awaits you.

The guides always have cash on hand and are willing to swap Pula for NAD and vise versa as required by the traveller. You will however also pass a lot of ATMs and almost all lodges have card facilities so it is advised to check with your respective banks whether your cards are open for use in the countries visited plus RSA.
Riding gear can be supplied on request.

99% Tarmac (road) riding, with virtually only the lodge roads sometimes being gravel.
** The guide can ride that short distance for the traveller if uncomfortable with gravel roads.
This is a very easy riding tour and no major motorcycle experience required.
** Great for experience from 1 year to 100 years.
The lodges range from a tented camp up to a 4-star accommodation.
** Excludes the Delta night where a Wild camp will be set up.
Recommended are the BMW GS700 for the single rider and the BMW 1200GS for riders with a pillion (passenger)

Travelers can either tour as a rider, pillion, bus passenger or the combination of pillion and bus pax.
** Bus travelers pay the same price as the pillion do.
All travelers are to be in possession of their foreign motorcycle drivers license as well as the international license conversion, medical insurance, credit card and passport.
All visas are the travelers responsibility prior to arrival, if required.
Most medical aids already cover air evacuation but it is still wise to just double check whether the area, namely Botswana, Zimbabwe and Namibia are included in the client’s cover.
Our guide will stop at a convenient scenic spot roadside about every 100kms affording you to stretch the legs.
Lighter riding gear is more comfortable in terms of temperature but adventure riding gear, proper riding boots and neck braces are advised, as we want to run safe trips and are usually far from hospitals.
Sunscreen, hat, mosquito repellent, slops and shorts. Tank bags can be ordered at a small extra cost.
Extras often brought but already provided: cold water is provided in the backup vehicle so no camel-backs are needed, we provide a soft luggage bag so no need for an extra small bag.
** Hard pannier can be ordered at an extra cost.
A spare bike will be take along with the backup vehicle in case of a mechanical failure, in the case a rider falls and his/her original bike is damaged they may only ride the spare bike after taking out a new rental contract at extra cost.
Our guide will lead the riding group and be followed by the backup vehicle, ensuring nobody gets lost or left behind. A GPS is therefore not required but can be requested at extra cost. A booklet of daily route and lodge will also be provided.
