Get an Overview of our Mother City!

This tour is designed for those who want an overview of Cape Town, our nations Mother City. Learn about how a small replenishment station for passing ships developed into one of the worlds top ten international destinations and how Cape Town has come to be regarded as a country within a country, with cultures and traditions as diverse as the floral kingdom that surrounds it.

This tour starts at Table Mountain to gain a birds-eye view of the city. We drive to the Bo-Kaap and learn about it’s Islamic residents, gaining insights into a community that is as colourful as their brightly painted houses. Learn about some local traditions e.g. the celebration of the second new year (tweede nuwe jaar), what “kanalla” means… why the prevailing South East wind is dubbed the “Cape Doctor” how Devils Peak got it’s name and much more.

The tour also includes a drive around the central city to view historical buildings such as parliament, St George’s Cathedral, Castle of Good Hope, etc.
