After breakfast we depart for Okonjima, home to the Cheetah Outreach Programme, North of Windhoek. We arrive in the afternoon and after checking in go on safari in the game park.

Activities included:
All activities in the park are included i.e. leopard tracking, a visit to the cheetah clinic and sunset safari.

Rising early, one is able to choose between leopard tracking, a bushman walk or safaris in the park. We can also visit the research centre, which is included in the price.

After breakfast we head out to the Etosha National Park, entering at the Von Lindequist Gate (Eastern Gate). We travel along the main route, game viewing and then stay over at Halali.

A safari drive in the African Hoopoe Tours vehicle is included, however should you wish to go on the early or late safaris presented by the National Park it would be at an extra charge.

Overnight:

This day is spent touring the Greater Etosha National Park. You can elect to do an early safari with the Namibia Wildlife Resort, return for breakfast and then go out again later in the afternoon with your guide. The NWR conduct their safaris in open safari trucks.

Activities included:
As mentioned, any additional safari with the park rangers would be for your own account while a safari with African Hoopoe Tours would be inclusive.
There is a water hole at Halali, which offers exceptional game viewing from before until just after sunset.

This day is spent  driving to Otjo where we overnight to break the journey to Damaraland. We have lunch en route and enjoy our final game viewing.

Drive to Damaraland pass Khorixhas and stay over at Camp Kipwe nestled in the heart of Damaraland. We have time to enjoy a late evening safari to view the majestic desert elephant.

This day is spent driving to Namibia’s World Heritage site, Twyfelfontein. Here we do a tour of the unique rock art of the San community as well as visiting a nearby Damara Village and the “Organ Pipes”.

We drive to the coast, passing Brandberg, the tallest mountain in Namibia on our way to the charming town of Swakopmund where we stay for three nights.

This day will be spent travelling to Cape Cross to visit the seal colony. In the afternoon we can do a desert excursion and learn about all the interesting creatures found in this environment.

On this day we drive to Walvisbaai to do a lagoon cruise and thereafter a Sandwhich Harbour 4×4 excursion, enjoying lunch in the spectacular remoteness of the dunes.

After checking out, we drive to the Sossusvlei. We board 4 x 4 vehicles to visit Dead Vlei and thereafter Sossusvlei.
